Getting it ready for the hours you watch
Check the model in About This TV
Open Settings, then Support, then About This TV. The model code and software version are listed there, and the model year decides what you can install; if you are unsure of the year, search the model code on your phone. A 2022 or later Samsung on Tizen 6.5 or newer will find Smart IPTV in the store. On an earlier set, search the store for IPTV Smarters instead, and if neither appears for your model, plugging a Fire OS stick or Google TV device into a free HDMI input is the way round it.
Install the player from Apps
Press Home on the remote, open Apps and use the search icon. Install Smart IPTV or IPTV Smarters and open it once. Smart IPTV runs free for seven days, then charges a small one-off fee for that set, which goes to its developer rather than to Televixy; IPTV Smarters has no such charge.
Smart IPTV: note the MAC address on screen
When Smart IPTV opens without a playlist, it shows the television’s MAC address: six pairs of letters and digits separated by colons. Write it down or photograph it. That address is how the app knows which television the playlist belongs to, so one wrong character sends your list somewhere else.
Send the playlist from a phone or laptop
On the other device, open siptv.app/mylist in a browser, type the MAC exactly as shown, paste your Televixy M3U link into the link field and send it. Then close Smart IPTV on the television completely and open it again; it downloads the list on restart. If you installed IPTV Smarters instead, skip the upload: choose Login with Xtream Codes API in the app and type the server address, username and password.
Set the television’s sleep timer
Because the timer belongs to the television, it switches off whatever is playing, in whichever app. On recent Samsung sets it is under Settings, General (General and Privacy on newer models), System Manager, Time, Sleep Timer; older menus place the Time section differently, so check your model’s settings. Choose a duration a little longer than the program you are about to start.
Look for Bluetooth audio for headphones
Many Samsung sets can send their sound to Bluetooth headphones from the sound output settings, usually Settings, Sound, Sound Output, where a Bluetooth list appears on models that support it. Support and the exact menu vary by year, so check your model’s settings. If yours has no Bluetooth audio, the same Televixy login on a phone or tablet with headphones is the quiet alternative for that hour.
Choose subtitles in the player
Subtitles in an IPTV player come from the stream and are chosen in the player’s own options during playback, when the title carries a track. The television’s Caption Settings, under Settings, General, Accessibility, cover its own broadcasts and the apps that use them, and may not change what an IPTV player shows. If a film offers no subtitle option in the player, it has no subtitle track.
Pick a darker picture for a dark room
Under Settings, Picture, Picture Mode, Movie is usually darker and warmer than Standard, and you can lower the brightness on top of it. Some models also have power-saving options that dim the panel further. Names and options shift between model years, so check your model’s settings.
Find catch-up, if your player offers it
Open the player’s menu and look for a catch-up or archive section. If your player offers it, programs on channels that carry catch-up can be replayed after they air, which is how someone coming home at 01:30 sees the 20:00 news. If it does not, the guide still shows what aired, and a Fire OS stick or Google TV device running a fuller player brings catch-up to the same television.
Sorting it out yourself at any hour
Smart IPTV is not in the store
It is listed for 2022 and later Samsung televisions on Tizen 6.5 or newer, so an older set will not find it. Search for IPTV Smarters instead. If neither is offered for your model, add a stick or Google TV device to a spare HDMI port; the login stays the same.
Smart IPTV says the playlist is missing or has expired
This concerns the app’s stored list, not your subscription. A reinstall or a factory reset of the television clears it. Go back to siptv.app/mylist, enter the same MAC address, send the M3U link once more and restart the app.
The television turned itself off mid-film with no timer set
Many Samsung models have an automatic power-off that triggers after several hours without a remote press, separate from the sleep timer; it usually sits in the power or eco settings. Lengthen or disable it if a long film or a late match runs past it, and check your model’s settings for its exact name.
Headphone sound lags behind the picture
Bluetooth adds a delay, and some headphones add more than others. Look in the sound settings for an audio delay or sync adjustment, which some models offer, and try headphones with a low-latency mode. If the lag stays, a Fire OS stick, which pairs headphones itself and offers its own sync adjustment on many versions, is another way round it.

Samsung Smart TV, asked and answered
Do I need a stick or box with a Samsung TV?
Not on a 2022 or later model, which installs Smart IPTV from Samsung’s own store. On older sets it depends on what the store offers for that model. A stick is also worth adding if you want TiviMate, which runs on Android-based devices and not on Tizen.
Does the Samsung sleep timer stop the IPTV app too?
Yes. The timer switches off the whole television, so the app stops with it, whichever player you use. That makes it the most dependable timed stop on a Samsung, since IPTV players differ in whether they have a timer of their own.
What does Smart IPTV cost?
It is free for seven days on each television, then asks a small one-time activation fee for that set. The fee goes to the app’s developer; it is separate from your Televixy plan, and the app shows nothing without a subscription behind it.
Can I watch on the Samsung and on a phone at the same time?
Yes, if your plan has two or more connections. Plans come for one, two, three or five screens playing at once, and you can install the player on as many devices as you like.
What happens to a live match if the sleep timer switches the TV off?
The match carries on without you. Switch the television back on, reopen the player, and you are at the live point. If the channel carries catch-up and your player offers it, you can go back to where you stopped watching; otherwise the guide at least tells you what you missed.
My Samsung is from 2019. Is there still a way?
Check the store for IPTV Smarters first. If nothing suitable is listed, a small streaming device on another HDMI input, a Fire OS stick or anything running Google TV, gives that television a player, Bluetooth headphones and catch-up in one go, with the same Televixy login.
