Getting it ready for the hours you watch
Get the right build for the screen
Android phones and Android TV boxes install it from Google Play. On a Fire TV stick running Fire OS it goes on through Downloader, as the Firestick guide explains; the Fire TV Stick 4K Select runs Vega OS and cannot sideload, so choose a different player there. On iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, search the App Store for Smarters Player Lite. Windows and Mac builds come from the developer’s own site. On Samsung and LG televisions the store listing varies by model and region, and where it is missing, Smart IPTV is the usual stand-in.
Sign in through the Xtream option
Past the terms screen, the app offers several ways in. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API rather than the playlist route, because the Xtream login is what fills the films, series and catch-up tiles; a playlist link usually brings live channels alone. Type any profile name, then the username, password and server address exactly as sent, with http:// in front and the port at the end, and add the user.
Give the first download its time
The app now fetches the channel list, the on-demand library and the program guide. On a large account the guide arrives last and can take a few minutes to fill. Let it finish before opening Live TV, or the first night you will see half-empty listings and assume something is broken.
Put the guide on your own clock
In Settings, look for the time format option and pick the 24-hour clock if 03:15 reads more easily than 3:15 a.m. If listings sit an hour away from what is actually playing, the device’s time zone is usually to blame, so fix that in the phone or TV settings first. Some versions add an EPG time shift in Settings for the same purpose, if yours shows it.
Refresh the listings before a late session
Smarters downloads guide data when you sign in and when you ask it to. On a box where the app has stayed open for days, the overnight rows can be empty only because the data it holds has run out. Before a long night, use the guide refresh on the home screen or in Settings, depending on version, or sign out and back in; within a minute the rows past midnight fill in.
Open what aired while you were out
The Catch Up tile lists only channels that keep an archive. Choose one, pick the day, then the program, and it plays from the beginning. For a race or a fixture that ended at 04:00 your time, go in through Catch Up rather than opening the live channel, so the result is not the first thing on the screen.
Gather your overnight channels
In the live list, hold OK on a channel (or long-press on a touch screen) and add it to favorites. That group then sits at the top of the categories. A dozen channels you watch after midnight, collected in one place, saves scrolling through thousands in the dark.
Set it up for quiet playback
While something plays, open the player options to choose an audio track or switch on subtitles where the stream carries them; films and series carry them more often than live channels do. Some versions also put a sleep timer in the player menu, if yours shows it, and otherwise the television’s own timer does the job. Pair Bluetooth headphones with the phone, tablet or TV device itself; Smarters plays through whatever output that device uses.
Sorting it out yourself at any hour
Your account is expired
The term has reached its end date. Plans do not renew automatically, so this appears on the day you paid up to, sometimes in the middle of the night. Buy another term on WhatsApp and the same details normally work again within minutes, with nothing to reinstall. The expiry date shows in the app’s account details in most versions, worth a glance before a big overnight event.
Live TV works, but films and series are empty
The account was probably added through the playlist route. Add a new user with Login with Xtream Codes API and the on-demand tiles, along with Catch Up, fill in.
Listings stop part-way through the night
Refresh the guide as in step 5. If one channel stays blank while its neighbours fill, that channel sends no listings; it still plays normally.
The login is refused
Look at the server address before the password: a missing http://, a missing port or a trailing space copied out of the chat are the usual causes. Type it by hand once, then retry.
The app closes itself on a Fire TV stick
Clear its cache under Settings, Applications, Manage installed applications, then reopen it. If that does not hold, remove it and install a current build, since an old copy on a newer Fire OS is a common cause.

Is IPTV Smarters Pro free?
The app itself costs nothing on the platforms covered here, and Apple users install the free Smarters Player Lite. It arrives empty, with no channels of its own, until you add a subscription. Your Televixy plan is bought on WhatsApp, never inside the app.
Does catch-up work on every channel in Smarters?
No. Catch-up appears only on channels that carry an archive, and how far back it reaches varies from channel to channel. The Catch Up tile lists exactly which ones have it, so that is the place to start.
Can Smarters show two channels at once?
Some Android versions include a multi-screen mode. Each picture is a separate stream, so two at once needs a plan with at least two connections; plans come in one, two, three or five.
Smarters or TiviMate for watching at odd hours?
Smarters runs on more kinds of hardware and is free. TiviMate is Android only, with a grid guide many people prefer, and its paid Premium tier adds recording and multi-view. Both take the same login, so trying each costs a few minutes and nothing more.
Will Smarters go on the Fire TV Stick 4K Select?
That model runs Vega OS, which cannot sideload, so the Downloader route used on Fire OS sticks does not apply to it. The Firestick guide covers what does work on that model; every other Fire TV stick running Fire OS takes Smarters as described above.
How do I watch in Smarters without waking anyone?
Switch on subtitles from the player options where a title carries them, pair headphones with the device rather than the app, and lower the backlight or pick a darker picture mode in the television’s own settings. None of that changes the stream, so you can undo it in the morning with a couple of presses.
